About TCG Grading

TCG Grading is built by people who love and breathe the hobby

We’re collectors, graders, designers, and operators who understand what trading cards and collectibles represent not just financially, but emotionally. Every submission carries trust, nostalgia, and personal value, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Our focus is simple: deliver  consistent, professional grading, thoughtful presentation, and clear communication while keeping the experience approachable and human. Technology supports our work, but people remain at the centre of every decision we make.

Our Story:

TCG Grading was created in 2021 by our original founder, Jordan, during the peak of the COVID lockdowns.

Like many Australian collectors at the time, Jordan experienced first-hand the frustration of limited access to overseas grading services, long delays, and rising costs particularly with PSA. What began as a response to those challenges quickly grew into something more: a locally based grading service built specifically for the Australian market.

TCG Grading originally operated out of Alexandria, Sydney, and grew rapidly as collectors embraced the need for a domestic alternative. Those early years were fast-paced and formative, shaped heavily by community feedback, experimentation, and learning at scale.

In mid-2024, TCG Grading changed hands and is now owned and operated by Jonathan and Donna. At the time of transition, a comprehensive review of operations, grading standards, systems, and customer experience was undertaken. Core strengths were reinforced, gaps were addressed, and a program of continuous improvement was introduced, one that continues today.

The goal wasn’t to reinvent TCG Grading, but to strengthen it, modernise it, and ensure it could scale responsibly without losing the trust it had earned.

Our Purpose:

Why We Exist

We exist to protect what matters to collectors. Collectibles carry meaning: memory, identity, and story. Our purpose is to safeguard those things through careful assessment, respectful handling, and honest representation.

How We Do It

We combine human judgement, supported by technology, with clearly defined standards and transparent processes. We listen closely to our community, invest in continual improvement, and take responsibility for both the outcomes we deliver and the experience we create along the way.

What We Do

We provide professional grading, authentication, encapsulation, and presentation services across trading cards, sealed collectibles, and related formats designed to be accessible, consistent, and trusted by collectors in Australia and beyond.

Our Promise to Collectors

At TCG Grading, we believe trust is earned through action, not claims.
This Charter outlines the commitments we make to every customer who entrusts us with their collectibles. These are standards you can hold us accountable to.

Event Attendance

Event Sponsorship

Vendor Partnership

We seek out and actively support the Australian collecting community through events, partnerships with organisers / vendors, and grassroots involvement.

We’re equally open to supporting local sporting clubs, hobby groups, and initiatives that bring people together around shared interests within the hobby.

We believe strong communities are built through participation and partnership, not visibility and we’re proud to play our part wherever we can.

What's important to us:

From day one, TCG Grading has supported causes that align with our values around wellbeing, inclusion, and care.

We’re always open to supporting meaningful causes and community-led initiatives. If you’re building something that aligns with our values, we welcome the conversation.
