Booster Pack Grading Summary

How We Grade:

At TCG Grading, we score based on a 1-10 grading system by analysing 100 points of contact on your item across multiple subgrade categories. For sealed booster packs, condition is driven primarily by wrapper integrity and seal preservation. In the case of our Booster Packs we employ a grading weight system. These weightings reflect collector priorities: visual appeal first, seal integrity second, structural crispness third.

Booster Pack Subgrades:

Wrapper Surface - 40%

The wrapper is the face of the collectible. We assess: Surface scratches and scuffing Print clarity and colour vibrancy Creases or fold lines Indentations from card edges inside Pinholes Surface dimples 

Seal Integrity- 30%

Seal condition is critical in unopened booster packs. We assess: Top and bottom crimp quality Uniformity of seal pressure Seal tightness Evidence of resealing Glue integrity (for certain eras)

Edges & Corners - 30%

Booster packs should retain squared, firm edges. We assess: Edge bending Corner softening Wrapper splits Crimp flattening 

Each subgrade contributes to a final grade designed to be transparent, repeatable, and easy for collectors to understand.
